Kirklees Additionally Resourced Provisions (ARP's)

Kirklees Additional Resourced Provisions (ARP's)

The Additional Resourced Provisions in Kirklees offer a number of places for children and young people with an EHC Plan who have complex needs and require a specific environment that cannot be replicated in mainstream schools.

Additional Resourced Provision places within mainstream schools

Whilst the majority of pupils with special educational needs and disabilities will attend their local mainstream school; for some individuals, after a period of support it may be suggested that a place in an Additional Resourced Provision may be necessary.

ARP's within mainstram schools allow children to access specific, specialist support that mainstream cannot offer, whilst still being able to access the mainstream teaching and learning, when it is appropriate for the individual child or young person.
