Privacy Policy
This website is managed by a company called Public Consultancy Group (PCG), they have also got a privacy policy which explains how they manage your information.
Photographs, videos and comments will be stored securely on the PCG servers. They need to be stored on these servers in order for them to be able to be published on the website. The PCG servers are based in the UK in Liverpool and Slough.

Kirklees Local Offer – How we use your personal information (privacy policy)
The Kirklees Local Offer is a website which has information and advice about support, services and activities children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities, the address is KirkleesLocalOffer.org.uk (opens link in new window)
The type information we collect, use, store and share.
- Personal information, such as name, date of birth and contact details. We collect this information when we ask for your consent to use any photographs or videos that you might appear in. We have a consent form (for photos and videos) and a sign up form (for the Kirklees SEND Local Offer bulletin) we use to collect this information. We may also collect this information if you contact us to make comments about the Local Offer.
- Special information about you, such as gender, ethnicity and disability. We might collect this information when we you complete an anonymised survey on the Local Offer. We may also collect this information if you contact us to make comments about the Local Offer.
- Photographs or videos of you. We will always ask for your consent to use images or photographs with you in them.
- Things you like to do. This may be seen in photographs and videos of you, expressed in anonymised comments that we publish on the Local Offer or as part of an anonymised (*) survey on the Local Offer.
- Personal views and opinions. This may be expressed in anonymised comments that we publish on the Local Offer or as part of an anonymised survey on the Local Offer.
- Education, health and social care needs. This may be expressed in anonymised comments that we publish on the Local Offer or as part of an anonymised survey on the Local Offer.

- Contact details of school professionals (such as school Senco's and other school staff). This is so that school staff and other professionals can access additional services provided by the Local Offer.
* Anonymised means that we take out personal information such as name, date of birth, contact details and any information that could be used allow others to know who you are.

- Other departments in Kirklees Council
- Social Media (via the Kirklees Council Facebook & Twitter pages)
- Kirklees Council printed media (such as posters or flyers)
- The Kirklees Council internal, secure internet (Intranet)
- Newspapers
Please note, once a photo or video is published and in circulation (especially online) it may be copied and used by others. If you ask us not to use the photograph, film and words in future we will comply with your request and will do our best to stop others doing so, but we cannot guarantee this.
We may share your anonymised information (such as website data, comments, survey results) with the following services:
- Other departments in Kirklees Council
- NHS Clinical Commissioning Group (North and South Kirklees)
- Kirklees Commissioning teams
- Kirklees Adult Social Care teams
- Kirklees Children’s Social Care teams
- Kirklees Learning and Early Help teams

How long we store your information for and where.
We will hold the information about you securely, and for no longer than reasonably necessary.
- The information (such as contact details comments, photos, videos) is held for 2 years. Those who have given us written consent or opted in to receive information via the Kirklees SEND Local Offer bulletin to use their information will be approached towards the end of this period to ask whether they wish for their information to remain on the Kirklees Local Offer and stored in our secure servers.
- The information we store is held on the Kirklees Council secure servers.

The lawful basis on which we use this information
We collect and process information about you under Articles 6 (1)(a) and 9 (2)(a) of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), meaning that we only do this with your consent.
