All about us

Birch Tree Care Company is a locally owned and fully independent organisation that offers a direct personal service to each of its clients.

The staff at Birch Tree Care Company are carefully selected – we are a team of health care professionals committed to delivering a high quality service, we have exceptionally high standards and are committed to employing the right people. All staff participate in induction and mandatory training courses and we encourage and support professional development. 

Every team member at Birch Tree Care Company brings experience, energy, kindness, compassion and commitment.

The ethos underpinning our service delivery is in line with person centred thinking. This approach starts with the individual not the service and takes into account strengths, needs, wants and aspirations. We promote each individual as a valued and active member of the community.

We have a strong commitment to accessibility and diversity. Our open door policy embraces all who desire, to provide a better quality of care by responding to the needs, offering advice, practical help, supported living and respite breaks for families and carers.

Whilst attending a day at Birch Tree, there are many things to do in the centre. 

There is:

-A games room with an xbox, wii, and football and snooker table plus much more.

-An activity room with an interactive white board, board games, colouring and writing, and plenty of room to carry out any activity's the individual may want to do.

-A lounge with a tv and plenty of dvds and cds.

-A garden room that offers beautiful views of the garden where you can sit and bird watch and watch the squirrels building their nests.

-A beauty room that offers any beauty treatments the individual may like, such as hair and nails.

-A music and drama room filled with lots of musical instruments, dressing up costumes, and plenty of room to do lots of role play.

-A sensory room with sensory items and a place to sit back and relax.

-A large garden for playing outdoor games in the summer or on the trampoline.

-A large kitchen and dining room offering cooking skills and baking.

-A arts and crafts room with plenty of crafty things to do. 

Our activities include developing life skills, games, healthy living, gentle exercise, healthy eating, health and beauty, drama, photography, film club, multisensory story telling, music, gardening, news & views, relaxation, relationship building, countryside walks & sports, visiting museums, libraries and galleries, exploring my community, shopping and budgeting, recycling, nature and conversation.

We also offer basic computer skills, communication, literacy / reading club, maths, money skills, personal safety, making choices, employability skills and travel training…

Who is this service for?

We welcome all adults and young people with learning difficulties and disabilities.
