Home-Start Kirklees - Young Parents Support Service

Bates Mill, Colne Road, Huddersfield, HD1 3AG

All about us

In addition to supporting parents and children in their own homes.  Home-Start Kirklees offer specific support to young parents within a group setting.  Parents aged between 14 and 24 years old can attend our groups for 1:1 support and Peer support.  This is not a drop in service and young parents will need to self-refer or have a professional refer them.

Within the Kirklees area we run 4 groups per week, to which a young parent will be invited to attend.  2 in North Kirklees and 2 in South Kirklees.  In addition to this each young parent will have a dedicated co-ordinator looking after them who will be their listening ear and mentor ensuring the right and appropriate support is offered at the time it is needed.

Home-Start Kirklees recognises that each parenting journey is different and our person centered approach to support ensures that our young parents in particular are supported in a timely way.
