Sigthtline Telephone Befriending Service

Regular phone-based befriending can be arranged at a convenient time for you. The service is staffed by Sightline’s amazing team of dedicated, friendly, trained volunteers; the majority of whom have close experience of sight loss. They provide much needed support and friendship. 

Sightline matches people based on common values and interests for telephone calls at an agreed day and time and will provide the service for as long as people feel they want it.

The results of befriending can be very significant often providing a new direction in life, by opening doors to a range of activities and increased self-esteem and self-confidence.

People can access our service by submitting a Service User Referral Form on our website. This can be a self-referral or a form can be completed by a family member, friend, health care professional etc. -
