Duckling Awards is the Pre-School Framework that introduces swimming to 0- 4 year-olds through fun and games. An adult is always required in the pool with a child.

KAL Klub Swimming Lessons progress children from the Duckling Awards to Stages 1-10 along the swimming lesson pathway, allowing children to progress at their own pace developing confidence, skills, and technique.Lessons last up to 30mins based on a games-led teaching to ensure children enjoy learning.

Alpha Swimming Lessons are specifically for children and young adults (up to the age of 21) with additional needs who need smaller steps or extra support to learn to swim. The session provides a specialised environment to have fun, to be safe in the water and learn to swim. Starting at Alpha 1, swimmers progress through the Alpha stages alongside Swim England's learn to swim awards. The sessions are 45 minute long, 30 minutes of Learn to Swim delivery, with an additional 15 minutes to allow swimmers time to enter and exit the pool. All our swimming instructors are trained to meet the individual needs of children of all ages and abilities. We recommend making a visit to the suggested session pre joining, in some circumstances we may ask for a medical/risk assessment to be completed.

KAL Swim Performance and Para Performance swim training programme is a pathway to competitive swimming. Selected swimmers of all abilities and ages are invited to train to reach their maximum potential and compete within a successful programme delivered with fully qualified coaches.

Disability Get Active Day at Huddersfield Leisure Centre A multi-sport physical activity session for young people and adults aged over 16 years old with an additional need. We welcome individuals or groups - including day centres, to access the physical activity session. Activities include - Sports Hall Badminton, Short tennis, bowls, curling, table tennis, pickle ball. Participants also have access to the fitness suite, public swimming and Aqua relax session. After lunch we have a low impact fitness class for Disability Get Active Day customers only. Monday's 10.00 - 15.00 (term time only)
