Inclusion North Safe Spaces

Inclusion North are working with Calderdale, Kirklees, Wakefield and Barnsley Transforming
Care Partnership. Calderdale, Kirklees, Wakefield and Barnsley are developing a new service for people with a learning disability and autistic people. We are looking for local people to get involved.
This includes:
• People with a learning disability
• Autistic people
• Young people
• Family carers
• Health and Social Care staff

Would you like to be involved in helping to develop a service in
your local area? It is important that we find out from people with a
learning disability and autistic people what they think about the new service. This will help the Calderdale, Kirklees, Wakefield and Barnsley to know what kind of support is needed in the local community. The new service will offer something different so that people are not admitted to a hospital or an Assessment and Treatment Unit if they don’t need to be. They are developing a new place in the community where people with a learning disability and autistic people can go when they need care and support in an emergency. This might be because they are having difficulties and need some support to continue living in the community.
