Peers with personal lived experience of mental health issues are here to support with providing:

  • Advice and information about services available in the community
  • On –line community mental health services available in the Working Together Partnership
  • Signposting to receive practical support such as access to medication and food
  • Having someone to talk to
  • Managing mental health problem

Some examples of how this service works with and supports other services:

  • More individual one to one support for people accessing on-line group support or activity sessions
  • Making referrals with the Wellbeing Crisis Café Service
  • Supporting people who have contacted SPA or Gateway to Care Service to find out what Voluntary Sector Services are available

How to access what we do

Referrals can be made by individuals themselves or through SPA, Gateway to Care, Kirklees Community Response Helpline or Voluntary Sector Organisations.

This Peer Support Service is available Monday – Friday, 9am – 5pm.
