Brain in Hand

Brain in Hand is an App, and website which can help you manage and organise time

• identify situations you find difficult and plan coping strategies in advance on the Brain in Hand website
• access pre-planned solutions via the Brain in Hand app wherever and whenever to keep your day on track
• record the situations you find difficult and the solutions you use
• use the Traffic Lights, to monitor progress and manage anxiety
• highlight a specific difficulty or request help when you need it

Brain in Hand can be used to identify, recall, reinforce, and implement strategies for overcoming barriers and setting practical goals including

• Ability to start, attend or remain in work or education
• Improved independence during travel
• Ability to regulate emotions, manage anxiety or mood
• Reduction in the need for other support services

Brain in Hand allows you to access personalised solutions 24/7 via the app, and Monday-Friday 9-5pm connect you with Brain in Hand human responder if red alert is pressed on the traffic light system.   Responses can be made via telephone, email or text depending on your preference.

Brain in Hand Kirklees is designed for people over the age of 18, who live in Kirklees and have a smart phone. 

• Are working towards independence
• Are reducing support as part of a stepped care reduction plan
• Are transitioning out of existing support provision
• Can use a smartphone and have basic computer skills
• Have at least a basic level of literacy
