All about us
We do this by:
- Delivering support for children and young people with mild to moderate mental health concerns, either 1-1 or as part of a group.
- Supporting school staff by giving advice and helping them get children and young people the right support in a timely manner. This might be support offered by our service or other specialised services where appropriate.
- Offering prevention and early intervention to schools by providing workshops and assemblies – for example coping with exams or transition to high school.
- Providing selected schools a comprehensive staff training programme to help them support children’s mental health in school.
Who is this service for?
How to access what we do
Young people – if you attend a Kirklees Keep in Mind School, you need to speak to a member of staff in school who will have a chat with you and discuss if our service is right for your needs. If you find this sort of conversation difficult to have with school, you may want to speak to your parent/carer and ask them to make contact with school.
Parents/carers – if your child attends a Kirklees Keep in Mind School and you require support for your child, please contact the school and they will discuss with you and see whether the service is suitable for your child’s needs.
If you work with young people – If you work in a Kirklees Keep in Mind School and have concerns about a young person, please book a consultation.
