National Deaf Children's Society

All about us

We’re the National Deaf Children’s Society, the charity for children with any level of hearing loss. We’re here for deaf children and everyone who cares about them. Whatever the question or challenge we help find a way through.

We offer information and support including:

Helpline

Our friendly advisers give emotional support, answer questions and explain different options. We help families make choices that work best for them and their child.

One-to-one support

Our advice and guidance officers help families understand their options and get the best from services where they live.

Information and resources

Our website has everything families need to know about childhood deafness and hearing loss, including communication, education and family life. We also have printed resources that families can keep or share with important people in their child’s world.

Support in your community

Community connectors are parents of deaf children, working in local areas to drive change, offer support and build a strong community of deaf children and their families.

Who is this service for?

We are here for families, deaf children and young people, and professionals.
