We have bases in South Kirklees where we provide support for up to 65 people every day to enable them to maintain their independence skills and to find activities in the community that can be accessed as well as having activities in the bases. This can give carers or family a break from their caring roles.
Our venues are safe, informal, friendly places for people to meet others.
There is a charge for our day service, but depending on your situation, you may be able to receive some help; your social worker will explain this before you start day opportunities. There are also small additional charges for transport and meals, and you will fund the community activities that you access.
Who is this service for?
Adults, over age 18, who have a diagnosed learning disability and maybe also additional physical disabilities.
How to access what we do
People will be referred to us by the Community Learning Disabilities Social Work Team providing they meet our criteria.
Then, if you would like to visit us, please call us to arrange a convenient time. Our management team will be delighted to give you a tour of our facilities and discuss your needs with you in more detail. A personal visit is the best way to see what we have to offer.
