All about us
Getting to know you……we like to get to know you and your family so that you are not just a case number, you’re not someone’s work load, you are a human “bean” not a tin of beans!
- We will encourage you to select your favourite activities, to help you form friendships with fellow clients and build good working relationships with the team.
- Throughout everything we do, there is always a light-hearted and fun approach.
- A “taster day” is offered to all potential new clients before joining us, so that you can see what is on offer and the team can assess what help and support you may need
- All clients are encouraged to build their own wish list for their future and the team will help you put small steps in place to help you achieve this
- We offer several residential activities per year for example Center Parcs & Camping.
All of which enables us to provide a person-centred approach that is truly centred on individual assessed, expressed and identified needs.
Did you know that Ambitions provides……
- Day care Monday to Friday 9.30am to 3.30pm, closed for Bank Holidays and a short Christmas break
- 1:1 support as an assessed need
- Supported Living
- Leisure and social events (evening and weekend) – no parents/carers allowed! Sorry! Clients are far too cool to be seen out with parents/carers so they have great fun in choosing what we do!
- Respite care (hours and overnight stays).
- Our very own respite home, which is a home not a residential unit – gives you proper homely feeling.
- 2 sites based within Mirfield for our inhouse activities which take place across these two sites.
- A team that is recruited following ‘safer recruitment’ practices, and hold a current Enhanced DBS check specifically for this service.
- A team which is qualified to NVQ level 2 or 3 in Health & Social Care, Level 2 in Understanding Autism; Level 2 Safeguarding Practices; Essential First Aid Level 2 or 3.
Some of our most popular activities are:
