Oral Health Foundation
All about us
Improving oral health and promoting good oral hygiene is what our charity believes in and our work aims to give everybody the chance to achieve this.
Whether it is giving people support through our Dental Helpline, lobbying policy on behalf of the public or raising awareness of mouth cancer, the Oral Health Foundation is determined to reduce inequalities in oral health through campaigns, education and opportunity.
The new strategy, addresses the world’s growing oral health demands. It also sets out how the charity will tackle oral disease and help improve the quality of life for millions of people in the UK and around the world.
In a bid to eradicate dental disease and build a healthier society, our new strategy focuses on a series of key oral health pledges. These include:
- Helping the most vulnerable members of society with oral health campaigns across local communities.
- Making sure young people are given the very best start in life by providing them with the means to have a healthy mouth.
- Giving all people access to free, practical and emotional support for their oral health problems.

How to access what we do
Usually the patient's dentist or doctor is responsible for referring them to the clinic best suited to their needs. Normally, the dentist or doctor will write a referral letter and send it, with any hospital letters and x-rays, to give the dental team an idea of the patient's dental history.
