All about us
The group offers help, support and advice to families living with Autism, including Asperger’s syndrome. We provide advice and support and we run several very popular family outings every year to Chester Zoo, The Yorkshire Wildlife Park and Bridlington with a nominal charge to members. A lot of families have also attended the excellent Circus Starr without charge!
The funds we have are currently used to subsidise our family outings and other events but we also have plans to award small grants to families to buy equipment etc. There is no charge to join just send us an email , puts you on our mailing list and enables you to take part in our activities.
Who is this service for?
We are open to people of all ages. Most of our events are for the whole family where there may be a child with Autism as well as other siblings. Some of our activities are enjoyed by teenagers or adults with Autism. A confirmed diagnosis of Autistic Spectrum Disorder is not needed to join the group.
How to access what we do
Membership is required to access our activities. To become a member, please email us.
Places on the family outings must be booked in advance.
Details of the outings will be emailed to members and posted on our website and our Facebook page. No appointment or assessments are necessary.
