Locala Children’s Continence Service

We offer assessment, treatment, investigations, management plans and continence products with a focus on maximising independence, for children/young people with common continence concerns, such as bed wetting, day wetting and constipation.

In North Kirklees this is for children with bladder, bowel and toilet training continence issues including continence products, from age 4 years after assessment.

In South Kirklees this is for children with bowel and toilet training issues including continence products, from age 4 years after assessment.  Children in South Kirklees with bladder issues are currently reviewed by Huddersfield Royal Infirmary.

Referrals are accepted from health and education professionals (health visitors, school nurses, GPs, schools). Contact your health professional to discuss if a referral to the children’s continence service if appropriate.
