Ponderosa Zoo's mission is to educate people of all ages and backgrounds on the natural world and the threats species face on a daily basis conservation. Our aim is to 'bridge the gap' between disabled and able bodied people through the care of animals as a form of therapy.
Our zoo is always disabled friendly and offers a variety of grounds keeping roles for disabled individuals to gain valuable work experience in a friendly and welcoming environment.
Who is this service for?
Everybody is welcome at Ponderosa.
How to access what we do
Book tickets online at our website.
Our open times are from 10am to 5pm in summer and 10am - 4pm in winter. Last admission is an hour before closing. Once in, you can spend as long as you like in the zoo until the zoo closes.
