Ponderosa Zoo's mission is to educate people of all ages and backgrounds on the natural world and the threats species face on a daily basis conservation. Our aim is to 'bridge the gap' between disabled and able bodied people through the care of animals as a form of therapy.
Our zoo is always disabled friendly and offers a variety of grounds keeping roles for disabled individuals to gain valuable work experience in a friendly and welcoming environment.

How to access what we do
Book tickets online at our website.
Our open times are from 10am to 4pm. Entry into the zoo will be permitted in half an hour slots starting from 10am-10.30am with the final entry being between 1:30pm-2pm. Once in, you can spend as long as you like in the zoo until we close at 4pm.
