ISO Support for NON-SCHOOL professionals

Do you work with children and young people (0-25 years) with Special Educational Needs & Disabilities? Come and chat with our Inclusion Support Offer and Community Inclusion Officers!

  • The Inclusion Support Offer team (ISO) support SENDCo’s & school professionals with guidance around SEND related processes and concerns. They provide case discussions, information, and advice as well as upskilling and training of paperwork and Early Identification of SEND need.
  • The Community Inclusion Offer focus is on building relationships to work towards increasing opportunities for children and young people with SEND to participate in community activities.  They assist activity providers with advice and guidance to enable them to consider children and young people’s individualities and provide assistance to practitioners working with children, young people and families to identify local activity and Short Break opportunities.

They can support you in the following ways:

  • Guidance around SEND processes.
  • Case discussions where there is a SEND need.
  • Signposting.
  • Discussions around specific SEND conditions.
  • Local Offer navigation
  • Information and advice on school processes in relation to SEND.
  • Information and advice on community short break activities.
  • Having positive conversations with families and activity providers.

This will open a webform which will ask you for key information that supports us to understand your query before the call, and where possible, pull together the relevant information, advice and resources to aid the conversation and supporting a positive outcome.

The form takes approximately 5mins to complete and requests the following information, many of which are simple tick boxes:

  • Information about the caller
  • What the contact is concerning
  • Brief description of the information or support required
