Travel training
Young people with a disability or learning needs may want to consider travel training. This is designed to give them the confidence and skills to travel independently. Local groups
The community directory has lots of groups available for young people to join, and is a
great way to develop skills and make new friends. Community directory groups offer various
activities such as:

• swimming
• dance
• pool
• puzzles
• instruments

Day opportunities
If you receive social care funding there are a range of day opportunity services.
Day opportunities provide a safe and friendly place for your son/daughter to make friends and enjoy
activities in the centres as well as in the community. A range of activities are provided such as:
• cycling
• bowling
• golf
• and more
