Neurodevelopmental Information

Neurodivergence means someone's brain works differently from what is seen as typical. This can affect how they think, learn, understand information, and experience the world. Neurodivergent people may see, feel, and react to things differently from people whose brains work in a more typical way.

In Kirklees, we believe everyone should get the help they need, even if they do not have a diagnosis. We focus on what support a person needs right now, rather than whether they have a label or diagnosis. This is called a needs-led approach. It means services are there to help people based on their individual needs and challenges at the time.

Below is all the information you need to understand, support, and live with neurodivergence.
