Neurodiversity

Neurodivergence means having a ‘neurocognitive’ experience (to do with how the brain processes information) that ‘diverges’ from (is different to) what is considered typical. Neurodivergent people experience and react to the world differently to 'neurotypical’ people.

In Kirklees, we believe that individuals should be supported based on their individual needs, rather than having to seek a diagnosis to gain support and therefore, the majority of our services are what is called, "needs led", which means they support you based on what your presenting needs are, at the time.

Below is all the information you need to support you in understanding, supporting and living with a neurodiversity.
