How schools work together (Schools as Community Hubs)

Kirklees Community Hubs are a collaboration of local schools, community based partners and services, working together to benefit children , young people and families.  We believe that every child and young person should have the opportunity to reach their full potential and that they are best supported to grow and achieve within their own families and communities.  We want to build on existing strengths and assets of people and communities and build up resilience, so they are better able to deal with the challenges they are facing.

There are 16 Community Hubs across Kirklees, each have a geographically defined partnership bringing together early years, primary and secondary provision and a broad range of community-based partners and services including children, young people and families who live in communities.  Community Hubs can serve as the platform to develop understanding of community’s aspirations for themselves and their area, bringing into view and coordinating all the assets and opportunities available to them.

Each community hub has an inclusive offer for children, young people and families.  Please see the links to social media, websites and email addresses to find out what is available locally for you and your family in your community hub.
