If you have suffered serious harm or have a life-threatening emergency:

Call  999 and ask for an ambulance or go to your nearest hospital accident and emergency (A&E) department.

If you have thoughts of self-harming or are feeling suicidal:

Contact someone immediately:

  • speak to a friend, family member or someone you trust
  • contact Kooth (opens a new page).  This is an anonymous, online counselling and support service for children and young people, accessible through your mobile, tablet and desktop and free at the point of use - available for 10 to 19 year olds in Kirklees, from 12pm to 10pm on weekdays and from 6pm to 10pm on weekends
  • make an urgent appointment to see your doctor or call 111 if it is out of hours
  • call the Thriving Kirklees Single Point of Access team on 01924 492183 - available Mondays to Fridays from 8am to 8pm and Saturdays from 9.30am to 12pm
